Image by Hannah Busing In June 2018 I was nine months sober when I started attending Tempest’s (what was then still Hip Sobriety) first ever in real life gathering, dubbed “Bridge Club.” Three months later, the organizers asked if there were any volunteers to keep hosting after the original facilitator dropped out, and I raised my hand and said yes; this past September I celebrated my two year anniversary of leading the group, and, even better, making some of the most truest-most-bluest-friends I’ve ever known.
