I’m interrupting May’s hiatus to share: I found an apartment. I get the keys tonight. I am thrilled and humbled and a tiny bit freaked out. All the things you’d expect.
As I mentioned in my previous post, this newsletter is evolving. After many years of only dreaming about it—along with a few failed, cart-before-the-horse attempts—I am throwing my hat into the entrepreneur ring. The plan is to cohere all of what I do in a way that is more intentional and out in the world. The vision is to deepen into what’s already happening: good writing, and inspiring writing workshops; a development and expansion of the group work we do at Recovery Club (I’m talking life design work, mastermind small cohort-type work); some 1:1 coaching if we’re a good fit; and something for 2022 - a Sober from Bullshit retreat (somewhere hella tropical!).
Oh so much more information to come in June - including a new name for this hear humble corner of the internet. In the meantime, I’m about halfway packed and cannot wait to report back from my sunny, about-to-be-painted-bright-pink kitchen.
Check out some rad events below! Including a talk about boundaries in recovery happening TONIGHT:
Slow Motion Sober is a newsletter and community for creative types who are sober or curious about sobriety, and all the life-y intersections along the way. It's written by me, Dani, a writer, facilitator and sobriety advocate in San Francisco, CA.
SMS is reader-funded. The small percentage of readers who pay make the entire publication possible.
You can also support me for free by pressing the little heart button on these posts, sharing this newsletter with others and letting me know how this newsletter helps you. Thank you.
Tropical retreat please!
Sign me right the fuck up for the tropical sober retreat! Also, congrats on the move & evolution of your work!
